International newspapers and publishers radically change their business model with the introduction of paywalls. We oppose the idea of a strict paywall, but
help our customers with a staircase solution, dramatically improving revenue rates and increase customer loyalty.
Be it a good example of premium content, our solution helps VOD vendors to generate more conversion at the moment of purchase. Easy catalog browsing combined with
a frictionless purchase process results in a winning combination.
Sure! We even created several plugins so whether you use Wordpress or Drupal, you can install our plugin and directly connect with our system. No programming knowledge required there.
Arrr tough luck. At the moment of leaving our beta stage, we will only support the European region to commit to the financial e-money regulations regarding online payments. However, we do not intend to stick to a Europe-only plan.
We take security seriously. Our API is HTTPS only, our backend is fully protected, and any personal data is safely stored and salted in our database. We also don't store credit cards, but this is taken care of by a international partner, and any deposited money is stored in a separate bank account.
Currently we focus on small payments (all below 20 euro, until 10 cent). If your average itemprice is higher, we will not be the right system at this moment.
Our model is pretty easy: we take a fee upon every transaction that runs via our API. So if you sell some content via Paycento, we take a small part of the price.
We plan to leave beta early 2013.
Paycento has been built from the bottom up using strong and fast API's; our system can therefore be used in any online scenario (internet, mobile, ...) and whatever own solution you have, there is a way to integrate. More information about integrating can be found on our development pages.
Yeah sure, you can become a fan on Facebook, follow our Twitter, and if you have some design skills, we can always use someone who has some free time left :-).
